Hype magazine emerges victorious in winning the best magazine award and Dirty Den wins best House DJ awards for the third time running. Hardcore begins to disappear into obscurity. MFI become the most spoken name on teenagers lips and their Soulfuric gig goes off, so much so that condensed sweat rains down from the roof.

As always there were many contenders here, with DJ Dirty Den claiming Best House DJ third year in a row with 14% of the votes. Followed closely by DJ Dan Stinton with 12%, and DJ Rudy with 8% of the votes.

Best Techno/Tech-house DJ was secured by DJ Puff with 27% of the votes, followed closely by DJ Mrw (26%) who held this title for the last two years, followed by DJ Troy who scored 17% of the votes.

A very close and broad spectrum of DJ's in this category. DJ Greg Packer was voted no.1 with 18% of the votes, just over DJ Hutcho who scored 17%, with DJ Kevin in close contention with 13% of the votes.

Greg Packer easily securing this category for the third year with 25% of the votes, his closest contenders were both up and coming DJ's, Frantik with 17% and El Hornet with 8% of the votes.

MC Interject takes the thrown as Perth's no.1 MC for the second year with 35% of the votes, his closest competition was MC Method with 19% and MC X-Sessiv with 15% of the votes.

Best Non-club Venue: Swan Barracks
This category was a close with The Swan Barracks taking it out with 27% of the votes, closely behind was Belvior Ampitheatre with 25% and Belmont Racecourse with 23% of the votes.

Best nightclub goes to The Globe Entertainment Complex, winning the title for the third year in a row with 34% of the votes, with the Drum Club being very close with 30% and Geisha with 16% of the votes.

Central Station was the shop of choice once again with 40% of votes, its contenders were Dada's with 28% and the DJ Factory with 9% of the votes.

Hard Afro secured first place with 22% of the votes, just over Optimum which scored 21% of the votes. Last years no.1 label Hardline Recordings dropped with only 16% of the votes.

RTRFM's Full Frequency easily took out best radio show with 66% of the votes, followed by Looney Choons with 13% and Beats Per Minute with 10% of the votes.

Hype Magazine easily secured the title of the best free magazine with 52% of the votes, followed by Zebra with 25% and X-Press with 21% of the votes.

MFI's Blackout takes best rave event with 26% of votes, followed closely by Wax Off 2 with 24%, and the NYE party Intensity with 14% of the votes.
